About the Role:
Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Medical Assistant/Scribe will provide direct assistance to the Patients, physicians, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate would exhibit professionalism with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Medical Assistant/Scribe plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters. This position involves working closely with healthcare providers to capture detailed notes during patient visits, which are essential for maintaining comprehensive medical records. The Scribe's work directly impacts the quality of patient care by allowing providers to focus more on patient interaction rather than administrative tasks. Additionally, the Scribe will assist in organizing and managing patient information, contributing to a more efficient healthcare environment. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Certified CMA or RMA, certification exam by AAMA or AMT preferred
- Travel with reliable transportation
- Some travel may be required depending on company need
- Bi-Lingual is a plus, preferably Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare administrative role.
- Certification in medical scribing or related field.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
Responsibilities:
- Document patient encounters in real-time during examinations and consultations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records by capturing relevant clinical information.
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks, such as managing patient flow and scheduling.
- Review and update patient charts and records to reflect the most current information.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Assist physician with minor procedures, cast and splint removal and application and DME cast and splint applications
- Assist Office Manager with best practice process development for patient safety and patient experience
- Liaise between Physician and Patients in a timely and effective manner
- Perform all duties within scope of license and HIPAA regulations
- Triage patients and collect patient information, including height and weight
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.
- Serve as back up to the front desk coordinator/medical receptionist in answering phones and assisting patients, physicians, staff, and visitors.
- Actively communicate with the office manager on clinical supplies and physician needs to ensure an efficient clinic area.
- Adhere to company-wide policy and procedures.
- E-scribe medications for patients

Salary : $18 - $22
