Precision Orthopedics and Sports Medicine: Ambulatory Surgery Center Medical Billing Analyst
Under the direction of the ASC RCM billing supervisor, the Medical Billing Analyst is part of the ASC RCM team and is responsible for billing ambulatory surgery center claims.
Location: On Site, 8115 Maple Lawn Blvd, Suite 220, Fulton, MD 20759
Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Responsibilities:
- Working in the Revenue Cycle Management team, coordinate with Operations for Precision’s ASC service line to ensure accurate billing of claims, prevent denials and maximize reimbursement
- Work closely with insurance companies, credentialing, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Review claims for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information (claim scrubbing). Work the rejected claims using compliant and ethical business practices
- Work outstanding claims and accounts receivable
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, reconcile posted cash to bank deposits
- Communicate specific problems or areas of concern with individual claims and/or billing processes to management
- Adhere to company-wide policy and procedures.

Requirements:
- At least 1-5 years related ASC billing experience required
- Strong knowledge of ICD and HCPCS/CPT coding with experience in an ambulatory surgery center and/or physician practice setting preferred
- Orthopedics, Interventional Pain Management, and/or Podiatry experience preferred
- Experience with ASC EMRs and/or Waystar preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
- Associates degree preferred., high school diploma or equivalent required

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
