Precision Painting, a Division of Patrick Industries located in Elkhart, Indiana is one of the area’s leading paint shops, specializing in custom RV, trailer, and motorhome paint jobs and is seeking Experienced Buffing Technicians.

Buffing Technicians who work at our locations will be required to complete three steps in the full buff process which include; wet sanding, buffing and polishing; on top of the line fiberglass RV’s, trailers, Motorhomes and other like products with a Customer 1st Focus, ensuring that all products sent to Customers meet their full expectations. Buffing Technicians will be performing production tasks of wet sanding, buffing and polishing. The Buffing Technician is directly responsible for the quality and timely completion of units, and projects to meet daily production needs.

Specific Requirements:

• Communicating with employers and other employees to plan and execute custom buff jobs to meet Customer’s needs.
• The buffing process itself involves using a wet sanding DA, buffer, several different grits of paper and compounds.
• Operating, cleaning and maintaining all buffing equipment.
• Inspecting own work to confirm that the unit is free from scratches and dullness.
• Must be able to complete all three stages in the buffing process from start to finish by performing all applicable skills

Requirements.

• Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year experience working in a production buff team.
• Ability to work in a team focused environment.
• Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely.
• Follow written and oral directions given by supervisor.
• Ability to meet Companies quality standards in performance and procedure.
• Ability to perform various buff related tasks as needed.
• Ability to inspect unit and have a detailed understanding of buffing processes.
• Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
• Physical demands of the position include climbing a ladder and/or scaffold, reaching, twisting, bending, squatting, walking, pulling, pushing, grasping, and standing throughout the duration of the shift.
