Electrical Design Engineer

Position Summary :

Candidates will be part of the Electrical Engineering team.  Their focus will be on electrical design with heavy hands-on experience utilizing Capital Harness.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Candidate must have in depth knowledge of electrical harness design methodology, regulatory requirements & guidance documentation.
  • Extensive experience with Capital Harness software is required.
  • Knowledge of EWIS component qualification requirements and documentation would be a benefit, but not essential.
  • Must be able to produce and maintain wiring diagrams, cable / wire harness assemblies and rack / panel designs from electrical system schematics.
  • Must have the ability to assign wires / cables to their correct harness assembly, based on EMI / EMC, system separation & functionality requirements.

Preferred :

  • An understanding and working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 23 and associated guidance material as it pertains to this technical discipline is preferred

    • Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad engineering experience with Bachelors.
