About the Role:
The Training & OQ Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the safety program and procedures, while developing and executing safety trainings in coordination with the Safety Manager. There is a heavy involvement in reviewing workplace injuries to determine the root cause and implement preventative measures.
This position requires a high level of engagement with Precision Pipeline employees to observe, correct, and improve workplace safety techniques. Must be available and willing to travel to various job site locations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Plans, and coordinates an overall occupational safety and health program.
· Plans, and coordinates a new hire training program for employees.
· Set goals, priorities and broad objectives for safety and training in collaboration with managers and employees in order to reduce the cost, severity and frequency of accidents and illnesses.
· Identifies and prioritizes safety training needs and potential training participants based on specific needs identified by departments, workers’ compensation experience, and historical data.
· Reports data and trainings needs to HR and Management on a weekly basis.
· Responds to questions and resolve employee complaints and concerns regarding health and safety.
· Participates in the Safety Committee.
· Oversees daily safety Talks.
· Ensures all employees have been properly trained and certified on equipment applicable to their job.
· Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
· Evaluates and reviews operating procedures and safety precautions to minimize the potential for accident, injury, or illness.
· Coaches, motivates, and leads improving morale and productivity.
· Consistently wears and promotes the proper and required PPE, lead by example.
· Enforces safety policies by conducting inspections, reporting statistics, and counseling managers and employees; and making regular reports to the management.
· Oversees Safety Supplies/Equipment availability and ordering.
· Superior organizational experience
· Sets performance objectives, develops, and implements competency-based performance tests, quizzes, and evaluations.
· Maintains training records.
· Evaluates the overall effectiveness of training programs.
· Investigates, analyzes, and reviews injury and near-miss reports and makes recommendations for prevention.
· Responsible for the investigation and reporting of all Workers Compensation claims.
· Responsible for maintaining OSHA’s Form 300 and yearly submission of information to Federated for OSHA reporting.
· Assists in ensuring cooperative complies with all current safety and health policies, standards, and procedures.
· Identifies and evaluates working conditions and makes adjustments to safeguard employee safety & health.
· Assists with designing and maintaining the training fields, training room(s), tools, and equipment.
· Responsible for assisting the operations clerk with the ordering and issuing of all personal protective equipment.
· Investigates and responds to incidents/accidents locations or other emergencies during regular business and after hours.
· Travel to various branches, and approved training programs, as required
· Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (preferred). A higher degree of education may be substituted for experience. Years of working knowledge in a safety professional’s position may be substituted for education requirements.
· Three (3) or more years of experience in a safety related position with training experience.
5 Years experience in the Gas Industry.
· Background in facilitating training and educational programs at construction type business.
· Ability to set up meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment, Zoom meetings, and other training aids.
· Ability to create presentations and speak to groups of people.
· Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local safety regulations.
· Ability to use essential office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.).
· Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
