Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas.
Duties
- Install and maintain various types of irrigation systems, including drip and sprinkler systems.
- Operate power tools and hand tools to dig trenches for irrigation lines and install necessary components.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues such as leaks or blockages.
- Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment and replace damaged parts as needed.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure proper watering schedules are followed.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in irrigation efficiency based on observed performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems effectively.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and equipment used in landscape care and irrigation installation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks such as digging and lifting.
- Knowledge of garden care practices, including proper watering techniques for different plant types.
