Summary: Final Inspection of Customer Work after Processing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hardness testing of heat-treated parts, utilizing the superficial, standard Rockwell, and Microhardness testing machines.
- Check parts for total and effective case depths.
- Prepare samples for microscope review.
- Performs tests to verify calibration of machines.
- Review Work Order for completeness.
- Must be good with paperwork and attention to detail.
- Reports out of specification work to Supervisor.
- Overtime and weekend work per schedule.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Quality Testing – a plus
- Knowledge of Microscopes – a plus
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Basic Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
