Event Assistants lead our team in engagement, discovery, and solutions by engaging with community members and employing their communication skills to provide the most knowledgeable conversations and service.
We prepare our Event Assistants for their roles through training in industry knowledge, customer communication, and client missions. They are essential in generating new fundraising efforts and collecting and maintaining records to review and revise marketing and sales practices. Event Assistants within our firm are those who pay attention to detail, have enthusiastic conversations with those around them, drive themselves to expand their knowledge, and can adjust to different styles of outreach and customer service.
Responsibilities of the Event Assistant Role:
- Initiate and complete the outreach and engagement process by communicating directly with consumers about client purpose and mission
- Offer relevant client information to identify customer interests and determine potential donation opportunities
- Prepare for consumer interactions through entry-level training and collaborative research on charity industries and current events
- Meet with management and members of the Event Assistant teams for training on required client operations, donation metrics, future outlooks, and industry knowledge
- Work with other Event Assistants to collect and maintain donor records while paying special attention to confidentiality and client compliance processes
Qualities of an Ideal Event Assistant Candidate:
- Genuinely interested in problem-solving, creative thinking, and helping/servicing others
- Feels comfortable asking questions to management or more senior members of the Event teams during training and hands-on work
- Has primary knowledge of customer service, sales, communications, marketing, outreach, or business
- Ability to work with other Event Assistants and management team members to build and achieve client goals in sales, outreach, and engagement metrics
- Exhibits professional and personal communication skills, whether it is within the office or speaking with customers
- Desire to expand their knowledge and skills past the entry level through training and proper guidance

Pay: $42,500.00 - $54,000.00 per year
