Pay : 45$ to 50$ depending on experience.
Job description
The RN is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient / family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ED. The registered nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his / her assigned patients. He / she communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and / or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
An ER Nurse’s duties and responsibilities are focused on giving timely care to their patients. In a fast-paced environment, ER Nurses have the responsibilities of :
- Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
- Immediately stabilize incoming patients
- Administer medication as instructed by physicians
- Start intravenous lines, and set broken bones
- Perform tracheotomies and intubations
- Give patients stitches and sutures
- Create and maintain incoming patient records
- Work with team of emergency staff to help patients
- Help transfer stable patients to other wings
Qualifications
ER / RN W / RECENT 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING TO WORK
VARIABLE SHIFT : 1500 - 0330 AND 1900 - 0730
1. Current and valid state RN license
2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS 30 days upon of hire and maintain current.
4. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred, RN-C w / in 2 years of hire preferred.
5. PALS w / in 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
6. NIHSS Certificate
