Job Summary : The Payroll and Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with general accounting duties. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company by ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with applicable tax regulations, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a background in payroll and basic accounting.
Your schedule would be 9 : 00 am-5 : 00 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Payroll Duties :
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.

Pay : This position is a W2, salaried (exempt) position. The pay is $57,000-$62,000 per year, depending on experience. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance, short term disability, and a virtual healthcare app. Colorado offers additional benefits to all employees, including the Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program, which provides paid leave, and a secure savings option through a Roth IRA program. This position is eligible to accrue PTO.
