Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Government Property Contract Specialist to join their team! Apply Government Property principles, theories, and concepts to our client's Global Supply Chain Organization and display a comprehension of FAR and DFAR-related Government Property clauses.
- Support the development, preparation, review, and negotiation of Government Property clauses and provisions during the proposal and execution phase of a contract
- Coordinate with proposal managers to ensure all property-related elements are accurately captured in proposals and subcontracts
- Review proposals for compliance with government regulations and company policies, and collaborate with legal, procurement, and proposal and capture teams to address contract terms that pose risk
- Stay abreast with changes in government property regulations and provide updates to the relevant teams
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders and subcontractors on government property management practices
- Assist with the resolution of contract-related issues, including property accountability, reporting, and disposition
- Support periodic audits and inventories of government property to ensure compliance and accountability
- Work in a high-volume, time sensitive operation
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with government contracting
- Experience with contract negotiation and proposal preparation
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of government regulations, including FAR and DFARS
- Ability to work independently and in a remote-based collaborative team environment, with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and seek input where needed
- Experience with government logistics or government property administration
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
Education/Certification Requirements
- A HS diploma or GED is required
