Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a HR Manager to join their team! The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the HR function in line with our customer's practices. This includes all aspects of HR, such as recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation and benefits, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
- Support leadership and managers with providing guidance on:
- organisational design and change
- legislative requirements
- performance
- development
- compensation and benefits
- Support onboarding and induction of new employees
- Develop, implement, and administer HR policies, procedures and programs that guide management and employee actions and support the organization’s values
- Manage employee benefit programs including medical Insurance and 401(k)
- Responsible for implantation and updates of HRIS (Success Factors) and payroll database changes, data and reporting
- Evaluate, define and respond to requests for information or reports from management as well as outside regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with all HR laws and regulations
- Drafting employment documentation, offers, letters and agreements
- Participate in annual salary review campaign, performance review process and succession planning
- Coach, counsel and guide managers and employees on policies, procedures, employee relations, investigations, performance management, benefits, workplace accommodations and leaves of absences
- Working with the Talent Acquisition team, support the recruitment process
- This may include job design, job briefing, interviewing, reference checks and hiring
- Lead and contribute to HR Strategies, Projects and initiatives, in collaboration with the CHRO
- Other adhoc assignments/projects as required
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in HR, with experience managing multiple entities
- Generalist experience across HR responsibilities and functions, in a multi-site, global setting
- Strong working knowledge of principles, practices and trends of human resources
- Strong working knowledge of US employment laws and regulations
- Proven ability to meet competing deadlines combined while managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, whilst working with the broader team within the ethos and values of Codan: Can Do, High Performance, Customer Driven, Trust and Integrity
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio
- Experience of ADP and SuccessFactors beneficial
- Ability to exercise the highest levels of problem solving, privacy, mentoring, and confidentiality
- Strong coaching, confidentiality, problem solving, mentoring, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to work with external and internal stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate multiple people to accomplish joint goals and drive programs successfully
- Ability to relate to, influence and coach all team members, and to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey information clearly and accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- A proactive and motivated approach
- Some flexibility for out of hours work is required to interact with our global offices
