Summary
The Project Manager shall facilitate the development of Secure Network and VTC infrastructure and system operational requirements. The project provides network engineering services, deployment, network cabling of Secure Work Environment (SWE) system installations, refreshes and upgrades as well as the programming, engineering, building, and installation of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems and the associated management, logistics and warehousing of both programs to our Federal customer.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager is the liaison between the government lead, the COR, and the contractor’s personnel. The Project Manager shall:
- Plan, manage, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget to include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of contractor’s personnel in order to deliver projects according to contract
- Where required, define the project’s scope, objectives, goals, deliverables, and oversee quality control in collaboration with the government lead
- Submit all deliverables directly to the government lead and COR
- Preparation of plans and schedules based on technical and project data
- Tracking program funds
- Scheduling and conducting technical and project planning meetings
- Conducting project reviews
- Preparing weekly status report and submitting before the end of the business week
- Providing daily situation reports for onsite multi-day installations
- Meeting notes and action items
- Provide Project ROM’s
- Monitor the development, implementation, and operations and maintenance requirements.
- Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, resolve issues, and devise contingency plans
- Where required, estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals in collaboration with the government lead and the COR
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate contractor’s personnel
- Effectively communicate project expectations to contractor’s personnel in a timely and clear manner
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise contractor’s personnel and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing personnel and projects with an annual budget in excess of $3,000,000
- Experience in the use of EVMS, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Microsoft Office products. Proficient in tracking and reporting project costs and schedule under these systems
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Information Systems Management, or related field
Preferred Requirements
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
