SummaryAt Precision Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to help drive IT transformation within federal law enforcement. As a key player on our team, you’ll combine business strategy with technology to craft and implement cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cloud-based IT solutions for federal law enforcement
- Lead efforts in migrating and modernizing legacy systems to cloud platforms, focusing on AWS and C2S environments
- Create enterprise-wide architectural designs that integrate advanced technologies, focusing on scalable and maintainable solutions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving
- Mentor junior architects and team members, fostering growth and development within the team
- Leverage GitHub, GitLab, and containerization technologies to streamline development processes and ensure efficient version control
- Address and solve complex IT challenges related to data structures, distributed systems, and Big Data solutions
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and strategy
Requirements
- 4 years of experience as an AWS cloud solutions architect
- 3 years of experience in enterprise, full-life cycle solutions architecting in a professional IT and software development environment
- Strong experience with cloud architecture and development, including AWS or C2S, implementation, and migration
- Proven experience in technical application architecture, application build, and modernization
- Proficient in version control systems, including GitHub and GitLab, and containerization technologies
- Deep knowledge of Java frameworks and technologies, such as Spring, Hibernate, and microservices architecture
- Familiar with data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts, as well as Big Data solutions
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with security controls or artifacts of credentialing
- Familiarity with RDBMS database engines such as Oracle, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
- Experience with Databricks and Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of AWS Identity Access Management (IAM) policy management
- Strong ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms to stakeholders
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
