SummaryAt Precision Solutions, we are seeking a Video Teleconference (VTC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Washington, DC. This role requires an active Top-Secret Clearance and involves leading the design and implementation of VTC systems, ensuring that all designs are accurate, compliant with industry standards, and aligned with the government's requirements.
Responsibilities
- Capture requirements for VTC systems and produce associated room layout and engineering drawings in CAD
- Provide designs for new VTC requirements, including engineering CAD drawings, room-specific layouts with environmental details, and unique equipment lists sourced from an approved master list of materials provided by the government
- Review design concepts from the Government’s VTC program for accuracy
- Provide an independent assessment of the VTC design process and recommend improvements based on industry standards
- Attend technical meetings during the requirement gathering phases and at key milestone dates during VTC installation, as directed by the Government
- Conduct periodic inspections of cabling installation progress and provide reports to the Government point of contact as identified by COR or their designated representative
Requirements
- Minimum of seven (7) years of documented design experience with VTC systems
- Minimum of five (5) years of documented CAD experience and CAD certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Experience in tracking and reporting project costs and schedules
Education/Certification Requirements
- Must be a BICSI certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) with a focus on structured network cabling designs
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
