Job Description
Our Case Managers are responsible for using our highly documented and detailed process to navigate our client’s care, ensure
that our clients attend their doctor appointments, help our clients gather the information needed to pursue and maximize their
claim while maintaining constant contact with our client throughout their case.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your job is to maximize the value of each case by managing the function of case management using our highly documented and
templated process, in your specific policy limit/injury type, while accurately and constantly entering your steps into our CRM.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Maximize all aspects of a serious injury pre-litigation caseload while maintaining exceptional client contact
● Use CRM to document and maximize each part of our client’s case
● Optimize workflow by ensuring prompt and accurate handling of assigned cases
● Organize and manage documents, including creating spreadsheets and retrieval systems using firm’s document
management process/SOP
● Open and develop claims and send letters of representation (and confirm letters of acknowledgement are received)
● Communicate with each client on your caseload every two weeks to provide case updates and explain medical treatment
● Medically manage cases by scheduling doctor appointments for clients, including transportation as per firm’s Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP)
● Open Medi-Cal/Medicare/Private Insurance Liens
● Collect all possible information, evidence, and documentation that pertains to our client's case
● Manage client’s medical treatment including surgeries, injections, infusions, etc...etc...
● Collect medical records as client receives medical treatment
● Prepare files to submit to the demands department
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
● Great work ethic and positive attitude
● Strong time management skills
● Highly organized and detail oriented
● Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
● Experience handling large volume of personal injury cases and a proven track record of
● Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● 3 years’ experience in case management
● Ability to handle a large volume of SERIOUS injury pre-litigation cases
● Strong medical knowledge including surgeries, injections, infusions and especially brain injuries
● Liaison between clients and care providers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pre-litigation cases
- Strong knowledge of legal case management software (iManage preferred)
- Proficient in conducting legal research using online databases and other resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
