Role name: Azure AD Architect
Location: Charlotte, NC
Description:
- Develop and follow processes for M&A transitions.
- Perform Inventory of the OnPrem as well as Azure environment of the acquired company.
- Perform assessment and analysis of the acquisitions Identity Environment including but not limited to GPO analysis, OU structure, delegation of permissions etc.
- If required, deploy various agents like MDI, MS Password Protection, Tanium etc.
- Perform bulk identity creation and consolidation, user and group migrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work towards integrating the Identity services of 2 separate organizations.
- Perform risk assessments and risk mitigation for OnPrem AD and Azure AD during the Transition.
- Confidently work on AAD features like Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Azure AD Connect.
- Play a key role in the AAD integration process for new mergers and acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal impact on business operations.
- Be able to manage Tenant to Tenant Migrations, Cross-Tenant Collaboration and Identity Federation.
- Work with different types of records in Azure like MX, TXT, A, PTR etc.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and M&A playbooks.
- Optimize and update existing documentation in the context of M&A.
- Perform Project Management activities such as: manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for M&A Transitions.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of M&A initiatives.

Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Active Directory architecture and administration.
- Proven experience with On Prem AD and Azure AD migration projects.
- Experience on Merger and Acquisition projects. Migration work from AD to AD.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of Azure AD, including identity management, conditional access, and synchronization.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Architecting Active Directory Solutions: Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure Active Directory infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Migration Projects: Lead and execute migration projects from on-prem AD to Azure AD, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams during project planning and implementation phases.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure Active Directory solutions comply with organizational security policies and industry standards.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Active Directory environments.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Active Directory and associated technologies.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for architectures, processes, and migration plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver successful projects.
