Precision Temperature Control LLC is a top commercial mechanical contractor located in New Hampshire and is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join our growing team! Main responsibilities include:
Job Description:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, RFPs, and any other pertinent project related documents necessary to develop a competent and competitive estimate/bid package.
- Conduct on-site visits to gather information about project conditions and constraints.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks to enhance accuracy.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals outlining the scope of work, cost breakdown, and any necessary qualifications.
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Identify and assess potential risks that may impact project costs.
- Propose risk mitigation strategies to ensure the financial success of projects.
- Manage projects from procurement to completion.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to refine project requirements.
- Communicate effectively to ensure all team members are aligned on cost estimates and project goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively, as well as written correspondence.
- Must be able to interpret blueprints and written specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A Strong background in plumbing, HVAC, piping and ductwork.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail including interpretation and preparation of spreadsheets and accuracy in cost estimation.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience as an estimator, preferably within the plumbing, HVAC or construction industry.
- Proven experience working for a mechanical contractor as an Estimator in the construction industry.
