The Automotive Mechanic role requires physical demands that include lifting, carrying, and placing merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and bending are also necessary. The role requires fine motor skills, effective communication, and the ability to safely operate tools and vehicles.

The Automotive Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tire and automotive services. They must explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to co-workers and customers, staying updated on rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous learning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension, and alignment issues, as well as perform all maintenance services.
- Perform job duties similar to those of General Service Technicians.
- Clearly explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with automotive technology advancements.
- Assist fellow technicians and mechanics with technical activities.
- Maintain open communication with store management regarding mechanical repair problems.
- Ensure a clean and organized shop environment.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
Key Requirements

- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
- Section 609 Certification (PREFERRED).
- State Inspection license if applicable.
- High level of motivation, energy, and customer-focused attitude.
- A valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
