What are the responsibilities and job description for the FV Operator A 1st Shift position at Precision?
Scope: Must be able to operate all Final Valve machines efficiently to ensure a high quality finished product
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Housekeeping
- Perform Visual inspections
- Be familiar with each machine and be prepared for alterations in running characteristics before a major breakdown occurs
- Gauges for Crimp Heights, Stem Heights, Crimp diameter and Dip tub retention verification
- Ensure that parts are feeding into the machines correctly
- Operate Scanners
- Loading the hoppers and dip tub reels
- Labeling and stacking finished production on skids
- Change overs
- Verify specifications of part being assembled (BOM)
- Checking and setting the part counter
- Constantly inspect parts for defects
- Complete production paperwork
- Ensure safe work procedures are practiced
- Keep machines and work areas clean
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Maintaining concentration while working in a noisy environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Read and understand written instructions and follow oral instructions
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties for this job the employee is required to stand and walk constantly. Occasionally the employee will need to climb, balance and stoop and carry up to 50 lbs.
