What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech B 3rd Shift position at Precision?
Scope: Involved in all areas of plant maintenance including building and equipment. Other areas might include wiring, fabrication, assembly and testing of developmental machines, is able to perform task with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Housekeeping
- Electrical knowledge, Basic PLC
- Troubleshooting machine repairs
- Knowledge of injection molding machines, automation machines, and automatic take offs
- Read blue prints and interpret requirements for mechanical function
- Troubleshoot of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, water systems and electrical.
- Perform machines PMS and Rebuilds
- Identify problems and offer solutions and modifications to existing systems
- Work on Safety, Housekeeping and machine cleaning.
- Technician must have the ability to wire basic electrical circuits.
- Perform machine PM’s (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical)
- Read and Understand Machine Schematics
- Train other Technicians.
- Lead projects as assigned.
- Research and request repair parts as needed with quotes
- Work with other technicians as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair all facility and production equipment.
- Identify problems and offer solutions and modifications to existing systems.
- Identify parts on schematics, retrieve cost from vendors and write requisitions for parts.
- Assist in maintaining facility equipment to include: air compressors, air dryers, chillers, and cooling towers.
- Knowledge of Robotic and runner pickers
- PLC knowledge
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical Degree in a Maintenance Related field IMT or IET preferred with 3 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Technician
- Self- Motivated individual that works well with other technical trades.
- Technician must possess good communication skills and wear PPE as required.
- Technician must have knowledge of safe work practices.
- Technician must have a working knowledge of operating milling machines, lathe machine, torches, cutting tools, and other maintenance support tools.
- Fabrication and welding knowledge
- Technician must be able to handle multiple task and working under pressure.
- HVAC Experience a plus. Not required.
- Basic computer skills
