What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stem Operator A 2nd Shift position at Precision?
Scope: Operate, troubleshoot, cross train on all equipment in all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe all safety regulations
- Check material requirements
- Load components
- Verify component material part number against production work order
- Load component materials into machine
- Maintain proper levels of component materials on line
- Perform changeovers on line
- Operate line
- Monitor line
- Clear jams
- Inspect production – first piece
- Inspect production – in process
- Notify Quality if a defect is detected
- Weigh and record production scrap
- Complete and maintain all production and inspection documents
- Package and label production
- Remove labels, liners, from empty component material containers
- Break down and stack empty component corrugate containers
- Housekeeping
- Line clearance
- Notify production supervisor of material shortage, no order, machine changeover, machine breakdown, etc.
- Continuously work for best quality and productivity on line
- Participate in improvement projects
- Train and assist others
- Other duties as may be assigned by management
Minimum Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to perform basic math
- Must be able to match numbers
- Must be able to lift full boxes of component material and finished goods
