Position Summary: Project Engineer for WC Maloney, a specialty contractor based in Stockton, CA, performing all phases of demolition and environmental remediation throughout California. This role is a vital part of our team who will be involved in the development and implementation of demolition plans, perform quantity take-offs and estimation as well as assist in all elements of project management.
Key Skills & requirements
- Assist in the development of estimates, project documents, and reports
- Generate and maintain project schedules
- Track and process change requests with client or subcontractors
- Assist with project documentation and development from inception through close-out
- Evaluate and report to Project Management and Field Crews daily production, schedule, and cost projections
- Clear understanding of project contracts and requirements
- Supports the Safety and Quality Control Programs to ensure those programs are implemented and followed according to the project plan and contract
- Assist Project Manager with the generation, issuance, resolution, and close-out of requests for information, technical inquiry forms, and transmittals/submittals
- Track the issuance and resolution of non-conformance reports
- Collaborates with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors at the direction of the Project Manager
- Perform other projects/duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil/structural engineering
- 1-2 years construction experience, preferably in heavy civil, concrete, building or actual demolition & abatement
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Strong communication skills
- Proven organizational and problem solving skills
- Valid drivers license
Basic level of knowledge in:
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.)
- Project scheduling
- Environmental concepts
- Construction site safety and OSHA requirements
- Reading prints and drawings, and taking off quantities

Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
