What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compounding Pharmacy Technician position at Preckshot Professional Pharmacy?
Compounding technician must have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Nonsterile compounding may include but is not limited to compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in nonsterile compounding. Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency must be consistently met. Compounding technician must compound medication, fill and label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications. Compounding technician must also monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals, receive new inventory, maintain MSDS and Certificates of Analysis and perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques. Environmental monitoring and verification testing must be performed according to policies and procedures. Technicians must work under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
