What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Logistics Coordinator-On-site position at Precon Events?
The Production Logistics Coordinator is a full-time position based out of the Precon Office/Warehouse and reports directly to the Production Operations Manager. The Production Logistics Coordinator position is an on-site position in our office/warehouse that will support our clients’ events primarily in the DC/Baltimore metropolitan region. The hours for this position will vary based upon workload and client timelines. When not on-site for an event, the person in this role will report to the Precon office/warehouse in Rockville, Maryland during normal business hours Monday – Friday.
The person in this role must be a team player that can manage multiple projects. This position may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Production Operations Manager and various field crews to oversee the installation and dismantle of all elements provided by Precon.
- Attend and participate in internal team meetings with the relevant departments to align project scope, warehouse responsibilities, and expectations.
- Assist in the fabrication, implementation and installation of special event décor, props, and other theatrical and scenic elements.
- Participate in client site inspections and walk-throughs, as necessary.
- Serve as crew chief for on-site setups and breakdowns of materials such as pipe and drape, stage scenic, lighting, décor, and related event materials and equipment.
- Brainstorm, problem-solve, and troubleshoot production fabrication solutions.
- Maintain Precon warehouse and sprinter van/truck.
- Maintain an inventory log of all relevant Precon gear.
- Oversee the loading of trucks and shipping crates.
- Oversee any shipping and receiving, as necessary.
- Perform other duties and take on additional assigned projects as assigned by management for the continued success of our events as well as the advancement of Precon Events as a whole.
