Precon Events is looking for an experienced, creative, and passionate Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer who is eager to leverage their talents and skills in video editing, motion design, visual effects, sound design, and visual storytelling to craft compelling on-screen content that inspires and engages event attendees and virtual audiences.
As the Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer, you will report to the Director of Creative Strategy and serve as an integral part of our Creative Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with designers, creative directors, producers, project managers, and technical staff to produce customized, impactful, and cohesive visual experiences for our clients’ live events, as well as create assets in support of Precon’s company branding and marketing efforts.
To be successful in this role, you must be creative, imaginative, organized, self-motivated, deadline driven, and detail oriented. You must understand how to take a concept or design aesthetic and translate it into visually appealing video/motion assets that align with an overarching creative direction. The ability to think independently as an active and collaborative member of a team is critical for this position. This is a remote position that may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Design and create custom videos, presentations, motion graphics, and animations that elevate the production value of our clients’ events (e.g., opener videos, screen graphics, keynote presentations, motion holds, logo builds, etc.)
- Collaborate with Precon’s Creative Team and producers to ensure all work reflects an event’s branding, theme, and messaging
- Use Keynote to create customized, dynamic, animated presentations that can be easily edited as needed to align with client content updates
- Support sales and marketing efforts with quick-turnaround video and motion assets for Precon’s social channels and proposals (shorts, reels, gifs, etc.)
- Compile and edit video footage to create assets for pre-event, post-event, and live-streaming usage
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure all video and motion assets are compatible with AV equipment, screen set-ups, and systems to ensure smooth playback
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and production meetings (both internal and client-facing)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and all final cuts are polished and stored appropriately for show use
