Role Overview:
As a Crane Operator at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for operating and managing cranes in the marine construction environment. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our marine construction team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of cranes during construction projects. Whether you work on-site at our marine construction locations in Chesapeake, Virginia, you’ll be an essential part of our mission to deliver high-quality marine construction services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage cranes in marine construction environments, ensuring safe and efficient lifting and movement of heavy materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with the marine construction team to understand project requirements and coordinate crane operations accordingly.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of cranes to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards to mitigate risks and maintain a safe work environment.
- Support the marine construction team in achieving project goals and deadlines by providing reliable crane operation expertise.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills:
- Proven experience as a crane operator in a marine or construction environment.
- NCCCO Certification.
- In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and protocols when operating cranes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to perform regular crane inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Bonus If You:
- Have experience with marine construction projects.
- Hold additional certifications for operating specialized cranes.
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is Full Time, Monday through Friday.
Location:
This position is on-site only in Chesapeake, Virginia.
