About the Role:

The TECH position plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of retail technology systems across multiple locations, including Chrysler Grand Haven, Chrysler Muskegon, and Ford of Grand Haven. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing technology solutions that support retail operations, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to implement new technologies and ensure existing systems are functioning optimally. Additionally, this position will involve training staff on new systems and providing ongoing support to ensure all employees are equipped to utilize technology effectively. The end result of this role is to create a technologically advanced retail environment that enhances the overall shopping experience for customers and streamlines operations for staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail technology systems and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in relevant technology platforms or systems.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to retail technology systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on software and hardware used in retail operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions.
• Train staff on the use of new systems and provide ongoing technical support.
• Monitor system performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong problem-solving abilities, which are essential for diagnosing and resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively train staff and collaborate with team members across different locations. Familiarity with retail technology systems will be utilized daily to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and to implement new solutions as needed. Additionally, organizational skills will help in managing multiple tasks and priorities, ensuring that all technology-related responsibilities are met in a timely manner. Preferred skills, such as experience with specific software or certifications, will enhance the candidate's ability to contribute to the team and improve overall technology performance.
