Job Description / Summary
The Development Specialist plays a crucial role in PBHG's Development Department, working in close collaboration with the administrative team, Finance, and Program Directors to maximize individual donor and grant revenue while enhancing PBHG’s external reputation and community engagement. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Development, this role is pivotal in generating over $500,000 in net annual fundraising revenue through the management of multiple yearly appeals, events, and third-party fundraisers. The Development Specialist will also foster community partnerships and assist with major donor cultivation as needed.
Responsibilities
General Development Support :
- Register for and attend community events, conferences, and stakeholder gatherings.
- Serve as a staff liaison to the Development Committee of the Board.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with community, government, and individual stakeholders to enhance the agency’s private grant revenue.
- Participate on organizational and external community committees / work groups as appropriate.
- Assist in the establishment of a planned giving program
