Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care as directed by nursing staff.
- Perform various tasks such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, or changing linens.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
Skills and Qualities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for residents.

- Patient, tactful, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with a willingness to handle challenging situations.
- Ability to share information about a resident's condition.
Peri-Operative Care
As a Nursing Assistant, you will work closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive optimal care before, during, and after surgery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and interpret patient medical histories.
- Administer injections, medications, or other therapies to patients.
- Record and monitor patient vital signs.
- Assist patients with mobility, including getting up, sitting, or transferring to different positions.
- Prepare patients for surgery by checking vital signs, administering medications, or performing prescribed treatments.
- Follow post-operative care instructions, including dressing changes, meal preparation, etc.
- Maintain a clean treatment room and perform other duties assigned by management.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding confidential business information and personal health data.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a licensed professional nurse or medical assistant (preferred but not required).
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to out-of-town sites as needed.
- Ability to work well under pressure from last-minute emergencies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
