Job Summary:
Preferred Care at Home of Central Fairfield is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregivers with Slide Board experience to join our team in Fairfield, CT. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. This experience caregiver role allows clients to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with Transfers using Slide Board
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dishes
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting
- Slide Board Lift experience a must
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of basic caregiver skills and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
