Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA) - West Volusia

Preferred Care at Home of Coastal Volusia, a nationwide senior care company, is seeking qualified candidates in the Deltona, Deland, Orange City, Debary area. We provide one-on-one care for seniors in their home or wherever they call home, to perform services that are needed.

Personal Care Responsibilities:

• Help clients with daily activities, including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, serving meals, helping clients eat, turning clients and ambulating clients

• Take vital signs

• Examine clients for bruises or other injuries/wounds

• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members

• Provide and empty bedpans

• Lift clients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc.

• Clean and sanitize client areas, including changing bed sheets

• Stay up-to-date on training, policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Completion of a state-approved CNA or HHA certification training course

• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification or BLS (CPR and AED)

• HIV/AIDs course completion (HHA only)

• Level 2 background check on file or the ability to pass one

• Ability to think and work independently and with direction

• Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality

Weekly schedule:

• Weekend availability (preferred)
• Rotating weekends
• Day shifts
• Night shifts
• Overnights
