A Day in the Life
As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Preferred Care at Mercer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Your day will be filled with observation, reporting, and providing vital support across inpatient and long-term care settings.
Your Responsibilities
- Resident Observation: Monitor residents' conditions and report any health issues to the supervising nurse.
- Personal Care: Assist with bed bath, shaving, and other personal care tasks.
- Daily Care Tasks: Help nursing staff with meal preparation, documentation, and resident transportation.
- Confidentiality: Protect the confidentiality of all resident and facility data.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in inpatient settings or long-term care preferred.
- Medical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic medical terminology is essential.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including ICU settings if required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
