Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) PRN- MATERNITY COVERAGE

CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA)- CONSISTENT PRN FOR 12 WK MATERNITY LEAVE

Adira Nursing and Rehab is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to cover a maternity leave starting in mid-March Consistent 40 hrs available for 12 wks and then regular PRN use after that. The right candidate will enjoying working with the elderly in the restoration and enhancement of independent function to maximizes independence and work towards return to home or most approapriate level of care achievable.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Provides treatment which meets needs and uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with the Facility clinical procedures.
• Treats patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, communicates with families, physicians and other interdisciplinary team members, and documents services in the medical record.
• Provides accurate, complete, and clear documentation.
• Consistently demonstrate the Facility’s interdisciplinary approach to resident/patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Educational Requirements

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license for the State of Michigan
