Duties
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the dietary needs of residents.
- Supervise dietary staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and health.
- Plan menus that accommodate various dietary requirements while promoting overall health and wellness.
- Provide health coaching to residents, educating them on nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Maintain accurate records of food service operations, including inventory management and compliance documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the dietary department in accordance with health regulations.
- monitor the budgets and menu's to ensure that we are utilizing our resources in an efficent manner
- train all new cooks and or dietary aids
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a dietary department or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of dietetics, nutrition principles, and food service management.
- Experience working in assisted living or healthcare environments is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Familiarity with care plans and patient assessment methodologies is essential.
