Summary:
The Medical supplies & Inventory/Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for spearheading the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the agency’s inventory and supply chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire agency, including but not limited to medical and office supplies.
- Responsible for placing all medical supply orders for both locations.
· Reviews all MD/nursing orders to make sure that the supplies that are being ordered accurately match the orders written by the MD/nurse.
· Ensures appropriate supply use by agency staff and reconciles use with inventory. Ensures accuracy and visibility of inventory.
· Champions the process for appropriate reimbursement for all ordered and delivered supplies.
· Responsible for filling out the DME (insurance patients) form for supplies to ensure we have signed MD order for the products.
- Responsible for wound supply communication MD’s and clinicians and champions problem resolution when there is an issue with supplies.
- Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, which have an impact on the accuracy of availability, balances, and pricing.
- Responsible for executing and maintaining supply stock and asset protection techniques including filing claims for vendor overages, shortages, order errors or damaged goods.
- Executes and coaches team members on vendor and inventory management processes including but not limited to creating, reviewing, receiving, and delivering orders.
- Completes execution of all pricing activities including price changes, alternatives, and best available pricing.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution.
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Must be self-motivated and a self-directed learner.
- Supply chain experience strongly preferred.
