What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Specialist position at Preferred Credit Union?
Preferred Credit Union is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our organization. In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other department members in the development and implementation of marketing, promotional, and communication strategies.
Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Work with the marketing team to create and implement a marketing strategy including delivery channels such as: print, digital ads, website, billboards, radio, direct mail, etc
- Responsible for marketing products and services offered by the Credit Union according to the annual marketing plan, with responsibility for specific assigned products and services.
- Conduct market research to stay up to date on marketing trends and make recommendations for product/service modifications or improvements.
- Focus on driving growth through new member acquisition, upsell/cross-sell, and retention opportunities.
- Transform business objectives into marketing strategy.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of similar or related experience in social media and/or marketing required.
- Experience with web design or content management systems.
- College Degree in marketing or equivalent experience
Required skills/abilities:
- Strong communication both written and oral
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Innovative thinking and a passion for service
This position will be onsite in our Grand Rapids location, with occasional travel to other branch locations and events in West Michigan as needed.
