What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative position at Preferred Credit Union?
Preferred Credit Union is looking for an outgoing Member Services Representative with an AMAZING ATTITUDE and PASSION FOR SERVICE for our Greenville branch. In this role, the successful candidate will provide superior member service to all members and prospective members, in person, online, and over the phone. Processing loan applications and working with the credit union's underwriting team will be key functions for this position.
Responsibilities for this position will also include, but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional service by responding to member needs in person, via phone, or email with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Support the Teller line as needed, accurately processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions.
- Address and resolve member concerns or complaints promptly.
- Educate members about our products and services to help them meet their financial goals.
- Work closely with team members and other departments to support overall credit union operations and initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will need the following experience, skills, and attributes:
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Must have 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution, in a member facing role.
- Prior experience processing loan applications, preferred.
- Clear understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Strong communication skills verbally and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with members and staff.
