You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for providing rehabilitation and support functions, delivering substance abuse services, offering education and support to families, and participating in crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of staff with professional degrees. Key Responsibilities
:

  • Understand and implement the ACT model, including core processes and service delivery.

  • Provide substance use counseling using holistic, person-centered approaches with an emphasis on strengths, skill-building, and harm reduction.

  • Participate in daily staff meetings and treatment plan reviews.

  • Utilize evidence-based interventions to develop functional skills for independent living, including interpersonal, family, and community adaptation.

  • Facilitate recovery by assisting individuals in defining and achieving recovery goals, identifying strengths and resources, and overcoming barriers.

  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the individual and their support system.

  • Engage individuals actively in their treatment process using collaborative documentation practices.

  • Document service delivery thoroughly, including interventions, progress, and treatment plan alignment.

  • Support crisis intervention efforts and coordinate appropriate resources to resolve crises.

  • Provide education on managing mental health and substance use symptoms, including promoting medication adherence.

  • Assist individuals in accessing and maintaining rehabilitative services, employment, housing, and other essential resources.

  • Collaborate with community partners and support systems, ensuring coordinated care and communication.

  • Support skill-building in areas such as employment readiness, educational success, independent living, and personal self-care.

  • Offer family education and training to foster positive support systems.

  • Provide telehealth services as needed and maintain licensure across multiple states as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Vice President, or Executive Team member.


Education and/or Experience Qualifications
:

  • A mental health professional as defined in 9 CSR 10-7.140 (2) (QQ) (Missouri).

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, nursing, education, criminal justice, etc.).

  • Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certification per Missouri Credentialing Board standards, including one of the following:

    • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

    • Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC)

    • Clinical Supervisor (CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, CRAADC)

    • Registered Alcohol and Drug Counselor (RADC, RADC-P)

  • Minimum of 1 year of training or supervised experience in substance use treatment.

  • Experience providing co-occurring disorder treatment or actively acquiring 24 hours of training in co-occurring content with supervision.


Required License/Certification (one of the following)
:

  • Certification or registration as a substance use professional (e.g., CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, RADC, RADC-P).

  • Licensure or provisional licensure in Missouri as a mental health professional.


Additional Qualifications
:

  • Ability to evaluate services and provide input for program improvement.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and reporting.

  • Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as required.

  • Comfortable providing telehealth services.
