Summary
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for managing the daily operations of a mid-size flooring warehouse.
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt, Hourly
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Picks and stages daily jobs; preparing materials for daily jobs; accepts and properly stores inventory, and labels inventory.
- Ensures work orders, status updates, shipping / receiving confirmations, and material returns are entered into the company inventory system.
- Monitors inventory to ensure accuracy at all times.
- Processes freight trucks promptly.
- Conducts monthly inventory counts, identifies discrepancies and reconciles differences.
- Supervises and coaches staff to perform assigned duties and to develop skills and abilities.
- Organizes and maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse and facility, as well as the responsible outside area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The incumbent is required to assist with moving carpet / pad or drive a forklift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet but can be noisy, especially when operating machinery such as a forklift, blower, etc. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
