- Consulting with patients, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team for quality palliative care.
- Evaluating and certifying terminal prognosis during admissions and recertification periods.
- Serving on the Professional Advisory Committee.
- Conducting educational seminars to enhance patient care and promote hospice services.
- Providing consultation for acute clinical problems and participating in joint visits as needed.
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree.
- Current state medical license.
- Good standing on medical staff of a contracted hospital.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Board certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
