Friday Lunches
Preferred Machine is looking for a 2nd shift Powder Coat Painter for our Batch Powder Coat team!
Daily duties
- Experienced painter for high quality parts.
- Manual Paint application as well as automated guns experience.
- Identify parts that require Plugging/Masking per SOP.
- Identify possible water trap in parts to be loaded.
- Notify Unload if blow out is needed.
- Power washing/Cleaning parts in Wash bay per SOP.
- Push and pull carts to next process.
- Load/Unload painted parts from Powder Coat Racks or carts.
- All plugs and masking must be removed.
- All parts must have proper packaging and material separation
- Routinely verify coverages with mill gauge
- Routinely verify color
- Do final inspections of painted parts before releasing to production parts per SOP.
- Ensure all finished product is packaged properly for following departments.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably with a partner.
- Make sure to put hooks and racks back in proper location.
- Keep communication with other team members.
- Unload finished parts on designated skids, boxes or packages.
- Stage orders in finished area for pick up from assembly or shipping.
- Wear all proper PPE in each area on the line.
- Preform 5S on your area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
