Job Summary

We seek an entry-level medical insurance billing specialist to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the collection of medical insurance claims, challenge claim denials, and ensure prompt reimbursement for our services. Our coordinators will maintain precise records and communicate effectively with insurance providers to resolve outstanding issues. This is an in-person, full-time position. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the healthcare industry while utilizing their current skills.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate the resolution claims, including initiating appeals and verifying demographic and insurance information when needed.
· Pursue insurance carriers by placing phone calls and documenting all work performed to ensure payments are received as promised by insurance carriers.
· Work outstanding accounts on a daily basis to ensure payment of open incidents.
· Review Explanation of Benefits received from insurance companies and take appropriate action, including appealing claims that are denied or underpaid, and requesting adjustments from clients.
· Communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues
· Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in medical billing and collections
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
- Prior experience in a customer service role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
