Insurance Verification Specialist
Seeking an experienced insurance verification specialist responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorization when necessary, and confirming deductible and co-payment details. This person will communicate with insurance companies and patients to ensure proper billing and prevent claim denials to facilitate a smooth reimbursement process. The successful candidate will work together with the office manager to ensure that the insurances are accurately verified.
Duties:
· Accurate Verification of Insurance Coverage and benefits for new and established patients
· Obtain and maintain insurance authorizations for physical, occupational and speech therapy.
· Must have working experience with Medicare and commercial insurance Humana, Aetna, Medicare advantage plans etc.
· Help collect accurate patient co-payments.
· Schedule patient appointments- needs to have front office experience.
· Check in patients and answer high volume calls.
· Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be computer literate
- 2 years minimum prior work experience with health insurance benefits
- English required, Spanish a plus.
