What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Cleaner - 2nd Shift position at Preferred Precision Group?
As an Industrial Cleaner, you play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Use specialized cleaning chemicals and equipment to clean and sanitize surfaces, floors, and equipment.
- Perform tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down walls, grates, conveyor lines, machinery, robotics, and other relevant areas.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Physical Demands:
- Work occasionally in confined spaces and from heights (using a ladder up to 10 feet) to provide cleaning services.
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) for moving supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Engage in repetitive tasks, including bending, prolonged standing, and walking.
- Use blasting equipment as needed.
- Safety and PPE:
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) including retrieval harnesses, steel toe footwear, safety glasses, and protective gloves.
- Follow all safety policies, practices, and protocols.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team promptly.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Notify management of any supplies that need restocking.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment (preferred).
- The ability to perform all functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort with repetitive and physically demanding tasks (such as bending and lifting).
- Availability for weekend work and overtime as required.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
- The capability to commute to the site location for work.
