What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - All Shift position at Preferred Precision Group?
JobForce is a leading provider of workforce solutions, dedicated to connecting skilled workers with top employers. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Weaver to join our team. The Weaver will proceed to their assigned looms and set all pick clicks. They will inspect the job for quality problems and alert Technicians to mechanical problems. Their primary job is to repair end breaks and filling breaks and to creel filling packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the assigned looms and turn pick clocks
- Perform visual and written fabric inspections
- Patrol the assigned looms repair quality problems or alert Technicians and Supervisors
- Alert Technicians to any mechanical problems with their assigned looms
- Repair filling stops
- Repair warp stops
- Creel filling packages as needed and tie tails
- Job must be left in good condition for next shift
- Follow good safety practices at all times
- All work must be completed on a timely basis as instructed by Supervisor
- Perform other duties as directed by Supervision
Qualifications:
- Must know basic weaving skills
- Must have good communication skills – oral and written
- Able to work a minimum of 8 hours of constant physical activity with only 40 minutes of personal time
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to squat, kneel or sit on concrete for 10 to 15 minutes while repairing warps
- Good close vision, color vision
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to Lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to bend at waist for 15 to 20 minutes while reaching out to access warp ends
