A production support role is responsible for performing various manual tasks within a manufacturing environment, strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, which includes maintaining cleanliness, following safety protocols, and ensuring product quality through tasks like loading/unloading materials, inspecting products, packaging, and cleaning production areas, all while documenting activities accurately and reporting any quality issues.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Production line support:
Operating machinery, feeding materials into production lines, inspecting products for defects, removing rejected items, and ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Cleaning and sanitation:
Thoroughly cleaning production equipment, work surfaces, floors, and other designated areas according to GMP standards, including proper chemical handling and documentation.
- Material handling:
Loading and unloading materials from trucks, palletizing and depalletizing products, moving materials within the facility, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Quality control:
Performing basic quality checks on products, identifying and reporting any non-conforming items, maintaining documentation related to quality checks.
- Compliance with GMP:
Required skills and abilities:
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to detail: Ability to accurately identify defects and follow strict quality standards.
- Basic math skills: Ability to count, measure, and record quantities.
- Good communication skills: Ability to follow instructions, report issues to supervisors, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Safety awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and reporting potential hazards.
12 HOUR SHIFTS - 6AM-6:30PM AND 6:00PM-6:30AM
