Job description
Seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to organize and oversee manufacturing and maintain scheduled production requirements. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the production lines and the quality of output. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
Candidates must have prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with 5 years of production supervisory experience of up to 50 associates. Automotive industry experience, and CNC machinery experience is highly preferred.
This is a 9 month Contract role. The schedule is First Shift: 6:00am to 4:30am Monday to Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor production to resolve issues.
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.
- Determine the amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.).
- Approve maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure output meets quality standards.
- Enforce health and safety precautions.
Skills
- 5 years of recent experience as Production Supervisor in the manufacturing industry, supervising groups of up to 50 associates.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Candidates must have prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- CNC machinery experience is preferred.
- Automotive industry manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of production management and previous assembly line supervision experience.
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Outstanding communication ability. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US - No Sponsorships.
