Job Description
The Resort Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the property and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Resort and hospitality management, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for all things travel!
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort’s operations.
- Familiar with the applicable compliance with Federal, State, County, Real Estate, Labor, Employment Law, and the Resorts Governing Documents.
- Develop strong relationships with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and neighbors.
- Coordinate marketing and promotional practices to promote Resort.
- Provides leadership and guidance to all team members ensuring they are following company policies and procedures and assists in training new hires on duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Stewardship of the Resorts governing documents and all applicable laws to ensure the Resorts success and membership wellbeing.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Board of Directors.
Competencies:
- People Management - Manage people effectively; interact with guests in a friendly & professional manner; take an active interest in guests; attend meetings; consults with Board of Directors on matters of importance.
- Works primarily day shift (8 hours or more) regularly; management is on-call and work may require nights and weekends; occasionally works special events in which hours and times vary.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with one or more services: G Suite; Microsoft 365; Marketing Platforms; Social Media Platforms; hospitality property management software.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a hospitality management program or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years management experience preferred in the field of hospitality management, RV Parks, or RV Resorts preferred.
