Installer/Technician

Job Responsibilities:

This job requires a devoted, conscientious, and self-motivated individual to work independently as an installer/technician. You must be able to develop a very efficient time usage system to perform effectively and learn the proper techniques.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Arrive at work at the appointed time.

· Load your service vehicle quickly, efficiently and completely.

· Maintain an organized and well stocked service vehicle.

· Make sure you are personally clean and presentable, and in the company uniform.

· Leave for and arrive at your appointments on time.

· Present yourself to the customer as a professional installer/service person.

· Converse politely with customers. If a customer presents you with a question for which you do not know the answer, call the office for further instruction

· Keep your work area clean and safe.

· Clean the door and parts you have touched during installation to remove finger prints / other marks from installation.

· Instruct the customer on the use of their product.

· Collect funds for the installation/service if they did not previously pay.

· Inform the office when leaving one job and going to the next.

· Operate company equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly.

· Place company sticker on new doors and operators as well as those which are serviced.

· Timely and professionally install windows, doors and operators with a minimum number of installer related callbacks.

· Accurately breakdown invoice book of actual time on jobs.

· Exercise proper care and maintenance of company tools and equipment.

· Use accurate and legible handwriting on work orders, invoices, log sheets, etc.

· Must be able to meet and maintain all driver qualifications and guidelines as per Company Policy Manual.

Qualifications Required:

• Must have: valid driver’s license, ability to drive, and meet Company driving requirements
• Be able to work in a fast paced service oriented environment; and have a positive and professional demeanor.
• Must have neat appearance.
• The work environment includes the risk of falling objects, eye injuries, fire, cuts from sharp objects and edges, electrical shock, lifting of heavy objects, and traffic accidents. Must have strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Must be able to pass a standard drug test.
• Must be able to work alone as well as in a team.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to understand and work with power tools.
• Must have experience in the usage of common power tools such as impact wrench, circular saw, and drill.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and carry for up to 50 feet.
• Must be able to read and write legibly and accurately.
• Experience with automatic and commercial overhead doors is a plus, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
